Backercore began in 2019 as a Kickstarter community — a place where 400,000 backers compared notes on which campaigns delivered and which quietly disappeared.
Why a shop
After enough campaigns, a pattern showed up: a dozen or so products kept coming back in conversation years after their funding ended. We asked the makers whether we could buy a small run outright, hold it, and ship it ourselves. Most said yes.
What “vetted” means here
Someone on the team uses the product for at least a month before it goes on the site. We buy the stock ourselves — no drop-shipping, no consignment. If something is on this page, it is in a box in Portland.
Small runs, on purpose
We buy 15 to 60 units at a time. That is why the inventory numbers on product pages are real, and why things sell out and stay sold out until the next run.
